![]() ![]() I got to help him figure out a couple of issues we were having(he did most of the figuring lol)Ĭutting one of my designs. I feel very fortunate.īoth of Mikes machines are very cool. ![]() I really value the experience of all you guys that have been doing this much longer than I have. He has really taken care of me and even been kind of like a mentor in some ways. IT IS FORCING ME TO CONTACT AKU FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION WHICH COULD PUT US AT FURTHER RISK>. RIGHT NOW I CANNOT UNINSTALL THE PROGRAM. WE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A GOOD EXPLANATION FROM AKU/APS AS TO HOW EXACTLY THE SOFTWARE WORKS AND WHAT WEAK SECURITY LINKS IT MAY HAVE IF ANY. IF THEIR IS NO RISK I WOULD EXPECT THE AKU TEAM TO RESPOND. WE WANT THE TRUTH IN REGARDS TO THE RISK OF USING THE SOFTWARE. WE PLAN ON POSTING OUR FINDINGS ON THIS FORUM AND WILL USE AN OUTSIDER TO PREPARE THE DOC'S. THEIR IS A POSSIBLE PRIVACY ISSUE THAT WE HAVE ASSEMBLED A VOLUNTARY TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS TO INVESTIGATE. SOME OF THE POST HAVE BEEN DELETED AND REPLACED BY SHORT SHOUT OUTS WHICH ARE A RECORD OF THE EMOTION ONE GOES THROUGH WHEN YOU LOSE THE ABILITY TO KEEP YOUR BUSINESS OPERATIONS PREDICTABLE. AT THIS POINT WE NEED DOCUMENTATION NOT VERBAL AGREEMENTS. I GOT A CALL AFTER I STARTED THIS POST BUT REFUSED TO ACCEPT IT. WE CONTACTED THEM VIA FORM ON THEIR SUPPORT SITE AND GOT NO RESPONSE. TODAY WE HAVE NO SOFTWARE AND HAVE HAD NO ACCEPTABLE CONTACT BY AKU. The software developer told us that his fee was between 12-$14,000 USD and we would receive free updates for 24 month's after our machine was installed after which their could be upgrade fees associated with new features. We were told that the lifetime license fee was included. WE PAID OVER $64,500 USD for our Machine almost 4 years ago. OUR SOFTWARE NO LONGER WORKS AND WE CANT GET A RESPONSE FROM AKU. Finally, lean and elongated shapes are used in professional footwear in the MOUNTAIN segment, to promote precision and sensitivity when used in rock and ice climbing. The following thread is an account of what we have been experiencing lately using the APS3000 or now AKU Shaper software. Enveloping and anatomical shapes are instead intended for footwear in the TREKKING segment, to offer stability and encourage dynamic action when walking on mountain trails with very uneven ground. Soft and welcoming shapes are the prerogative of footwear in the ACTIVE segment, intended for light outdoor activities, in non-demanding conditions and on regular surfaces. ![]() The original AKU shape is the matrix from which, thanks to specific adaptations, the different types of shape derive, which vary in relation to the different models and the specific use function of the product. The creation of a last, the result of constant research on plantar anatomy, is a long and accurate process in which AKU’s long experience in the design and production of high quality footwear for mountaineering, backpacking and trekking is condensed. The value of this process is perceptible in the fit of each individual model, appreciating the harmony and comfort with which the construction materials adapt to the anatomy of the foot, following its natural movement during walking. Through the use of the form obtained by hand, the pattern makers create a three-dimensional object, the shoe, starting from two-dimensional elements laid flat, that is, leather and fabrics. ![]()
